Short Information :

UP Scholarship Portal has made One Time Registration (OTR) mandatory starting from academic session 2025-26 for all students applying for scholarships. This initiative is sponsored by the Social Welfare Department, Backward Class Welfare Department, Minority Welfare Department, and Tribal Development Department. To complete OTR, an active mobile number and Aadhaar number are mandatory. Please read the full guidelines below carefully before proceeding.

UP Scholarship OTR Process :Step-by-Step Guide

OTR is mandatory for all students to apply for scholarships from 2025-26 onward.
The registration process involves three steps:

Mobile Number Authentication
Aadhaar e-KYC Verification
OTR Number Generation

After successful OTR, the OTR Number will be displayed and also sent to the registered mobile number.

Only one OTR Number is allowed per student.

If more than one OTR is found for a student, he/she may be debarred from scholarship benefits.

UP Scholarship 2025 – Documents Required for OTR

Passport-size Photo:	Recent color photograph
Signature:	Scanned signature
Aadhaar Card:	Linked with mobile number
Mobile Number:	Must be active and personal
Bank Account Details:	Student's own bank account linked with Aadhaar (if required later)
Previous Academic Records:	10th / 12th / Graduation marksheets (for verification during scholarship)

How to Complete OTR on UP Scholarship Portal

Visit the official website: scholarship.up.gov.in
Authenticate your mobile number through OTP.
Complete Aadhaar e-KYC using biometric or OTP verification.
Generate and save your OTR Number securely.
Use the OTR Number to apply for any scholarship schemes under UP Government.
