Training & Probation Period
- Candidates will be inducted as Sub Lieutenant
- Naval Orientation Course for 6 weeks at INA Ezhimala
- Followed by professional training at Naval establishments
- Probation Period: 2 years (liable to termination on poor performance)
Service Tenure & Terms
- Initial service of 10 years under Short Service Commission (SSC)
- Extension possible up to 14 years (10 + 2 + 2), based on performance & requirement
- No Permanent Commission (PC) option
- Unmarried candidates only; marriage during training leads to disqualification
